Campania is a region of ancient winemaking tradition dating back to the first Greek colonies. Nowadays Campania is rightfully finding its place among the most interesting wine regions in Italy, if not the world. Producers here have never relied on international varieties, preferring to preserve their region’s uniqueness by working with the local grapes. This, together with the rich mineral composition of the soils, mostly of volcanic origin, created the conditions for this rise to worldwide fame.
Throughout the region, two main varieties – Fiano and Greco – are produced in many different styles, but Villa Raiano is amongst the best at keeping the distinctive personality of these grapes in its wines.
